Situated on 137 acres of rolling hills and granite outcroppings, Panorama House extends carefully through the landscape to preserve trees and capture expansive views of the Texas terrain. Its strong horizontality and gabled forms reference traditional ranch houses while introducing modern materials and refined detailing. The home’s wings are unified beneath a single roof plane that hovers above the sloping site, while interior living spaces step with the changing grade to settle naturally into the landscape. Deep overhangs with wood-clad soffits create shaded outdoor living spaces that carve into the plan and strengthen the connection between indoors and out. Low walls, pathways, and rock gardens incorporate pink granite harvested directly from the site.

At the center of the house, a glass-lined entry gallery acts as the pivot point of the plan, featuring a herringbone wood ceiling and display spaces for the client’s glass art collection. A separate pool house rotates away from the main structure, creating a dramatic and intimate outdoor courtyard space.
