Pollen has been commissioned by a recycling company to design a new $1.5M material recovery facility (MRF) for its operations in southeast Austin. The owner seeks to create a highly sustainable facility with an interesting design that makes innovative use of recycled materials. The project requires the coordination of multiple traffic flows, scales, recyclables processing, storm water flows, and numerous other considerations to devise a solution that will function well in both portions of a two-phase build-out with minimal rework or downtime.
